Advertising Terms

Scope

These advertising terms govern the booking and delivery of the three placements sold by Dispatch Labs: the Field Log Newsletter Line, the Ridge & Valley Audio Package and the Field Season Partnership, all described with current pricing on our Advertise page.

Booking

A placement is booked once we've confirmed the edition, episode window or partnership start date with you in writing and received payment. Prices are fixed as published; there is no negotiated pricing.

Creative deadlines

After booking, we send a draft of your newsletter line, podcast script or feature copy. You have five business days to review and approve it unless a shorter window is agreed because of a near-term run date. If we do not hear back within that window, we may use the draft as submitted or, where the run date allows, follow up once more before proceeding.

Approval

No sponsor mention, line or feature runs without your sign-off on the final copy or script. Approval can be given by email or through the contact form.

Make-goods

If a booked placement is missed on our end — a newsletter line dropped from an edition, a podcast read not recorded as scheduled — we offer a make-good placement of equivalent value in the next available edition or episode, at no additional charge.

Editorial independence from advertising

Advertising placements are always labelled clearly as sponsor content, separate from our news reporting. Purchasing a placement does not influence, and is never exchanged for, coverage in our news items. Our editorial team retains full control over what we report and how.

Payment

Payment is due at booking, in Canadian dollars, before creative work begins. Invoices are issued to the email address provided at booking.
